Amira Zubairi is a third-year journalism student at Ryerson University. As an emerging journalist, Amira is passionate about using storytelling as a tool to inform people, express herself and drive positive change. Along with working as the Vice President of Public Relations at SAGE Canada, an organization that supports youth entrepreneurship, and writing for various campus publications including Ryerson Folio and The Eyeopener, Amira has also interviewed Syrian refugees in Istanbul, Turkey. In her free time, she is baking desserts, spending time with loved ones, learning new things or simply conversing with unique people all around her.
Through this blog, Amira hopes to share stories about people, places, and ideas she encounters. She hopes to inform and inspire readers through her discussion of various topics. Ultimately, she hopes that this blog, a place for her thoughts and ideas to pour, will make a small difference in her community and world.
